When we combine different disciplines
Urbanism has always been a changing discipline in cities, more surprising or less, it is capable of reviving uncomfortable streets, squares and narrow spaces left and completely forgotten. The urban fabric is the perfect field to practice new concepts and ideas that can radically break aesthetics but that at the same time revive the forgotten, that alley, turning it into an attractive icon for citizens.
What happens if we combine urban recovery, French fashion, good design and one of the best-known sports in the world, basketball? … Well, it seems that we have an unparalleled explosion of colors, a living space that materializes in the Paris Duperré basketball court project. Pure evolutionary symbiosis between different subjects!

On the one hand, we have the French design agency Ill-Studio, which is literally dedicated to surprising with its projects of visual impact. On the other hand, we have the French fashion brand Pigalle, whose founder Stéphane Ashpool has been playing in his teenage life on that court, and finally, we added "a little sauce" with the help of Nike to redesign the court. basketball Paris Duperré (Located on the outskirts of Paris on Rue Duperré street). Colors, sensations, madness, all united to tear apart the typical Parisian landscape.

The narrow basketball court is located between two apartment buildings in the 9th Arrondissement, which belongs to the École Supérieure des Arts Applied de Paris and has become an experimental backdrop where unconventional colors coexist with young people from the school who they are dedicated to practicing sports.

Since 2010, the court has undergone different aesthetic transformations where color has been the undisputed protagonist that has evolved throughout all this time.

It is always exciting to see how fashion and lifestyles transfer a different aesthetic to traditional architecture.
