360º virtual tour
Users who usually follow us know that we really like to play with the different applications that the Internet provides us for free for our architecture, real estate or whatever works and projects. If you know how to search, you can find real gems with very good profits.
This time, we want to show you how to make a 360º virtual tour free and in an easy way, and that of course will not serve to show our architecture projects, for presentations with tours, for a home that we want to sell in the real estate, to show our students explanations of a project in progress, etc. In reality, the limit is the imagination!
The idea of create a 360º tour it basically consists of; Through an image that we have taken in 360 degrees, we upload it to the free application of Google Tour Creator, and later, we add information about that image (images, text, audios) to later publish and share it, be it social networks or wherever we want.

How to create a 360 virtual tour
To have a global vision of the procedure that we must follow, we have created a scheme to understand how we are going to proceed in the taking a virtual tour. In this case, we have two options: We do not have a 306º image and We do have a 360º image.
Better! Follow the following scheme to create virtual tours…
1.- We need a 360º image
The reasoned thing is that we want to make a virtual tour for a real estate, on a project that we already have executed, a virtual tour of the interior of a house, of a work that we are building and we need to explain some details for some reason, etc. So we will need a 360 degree image!
In most mobiles, in the photographs section, they already have the option of «Panoramic» to capture the image:
Also, if you have a super 360 degree camera, Well, perfect, but for the most deadly, if we want to improve photography we have different panoramic photography apps For smartphones (Android and iOS) we will obtain the image quickly.
The photography apps that work well are:
- Cardboard Camera (Android) and for iOS… HERE.
- Panorama 360 (Android) and for iOS… HERE.
Once the image is downloaded to the computer or Google Drive, we have to go to the application to produce virtual tours…
2.- Google Tour Creator
Now, touch enter the application called Google Tour Creator from HERE (Remember to first be logged in with Google+, so it doesn't ask for a thousand passwords).
Once we enter we have two possibilities; Start from the «certo» with the «New Tour» and upload our 360º image or choose to use a template that, in short, is an already created Tour that we can edit for a 3D view.
As we see in the previous image, create a 360 virtual tour free in basic mode is quite easy, it is only to upload an image in a large panoramic format. Now, it's time to edit it to adapt it to our needs.
3.- Edit our Virtual Tour
When we have already edited the title, description, category and uploaded a cover image (See previous image) which are the general data of the project. We have to choose:
Then, we are going to edit the ambient scene (360º image that we have uploaded to the app) with all its characteristics and points of interest: scene name, location, description, credits, sound and music if we want, and points of interest where we will have more information to show clients in the free virtual tour we have.
We can add and add all the individual scenes that we want to create the route, having a kind of Slider, but in 360º. Then we just have to publish and share it wherever we want.

Another interesting option in the application is that we can also upload 3D objects that we have previously made with a 3D and CAD drawing program. And so, later to be able to show the work in an easy and practical way with 3D movements:
