Climate change map
Being able to analyze the climatic changes that are taking place around the world in a visual, easy and understandable way was a priority to recognize the decline of the environment at a global level and more, if we already read the article on global warming of the Earth by clouds.
Although it should be noted that there is climate analysis tools, are oriented more from a technical aspect and not very understandable for a user with normal knowledge. But this time, this has changed, with a new climate change map that analyze not only a specific country, but also regions at a global level that have similarities of environmental decline and in an absolutely interactive and easy-to-understand way.
The interactive climate map shows how the world is more connected than ever, specifically regarding climate change. The map project is called CREATES. Carried out by researchers at the University of Cincinnati with the CREA project, it not only informs users about the climatic history of a given area, but can also match a city with its "climate twin" around the world.

To create the interactive cartographic tool, geography professor Tomasz Stepinski and his team had to gather more than 50 years of meteorological data from more than 50,000 international meteorological databases from around the world.
According to Stepinski … "The interactive map allows students or researchers to compare the climates of any part of the world and their changes in a given period."

The data, collected by WorldClim, is mapped on a 4-square-kilometer grid that gives researchers a visual view of what is happening with temperatures and precipitation from pole to pole.
East interactive map on climate change It also details which parts of the world have been most affected by the global warming and other climatic problems. While the poles and the surrounding areas show clear changes, the tropics also do so in a forceful way.
ClimateEx is primarily an educational tool. It's easy to get answers to questions like In what part of the world do we have a climate similar to that of Spain? Where can I find a place with a climate as pleasant as Mexico? To give a few examples.

This also provides users with a tool to find places that could be more affected by larger weather events, such as hurricanes, floods, monsoons, severe storms, droughts or snow, given the history and trajectory of particular regions.
East climate atlas allows an easy search for places where climate change may lead to extreme events in the future. Knowledge of the potential for hazards will give urban planners time to prepare appropriate response plans.
Remember that we have two excellent articles on Open Source maps (Open and free) that are very useful:
- Interactive 3D map of cities
- OpenStreetMap urban surveying and Osmbuildings
So we are facing a tool that can save many lives if the appropriate measures are taken and resilience strategies are applied in the cities or regions that will possibly be most affected.
The interactive map for climate change analysis ClimateEx was designed to be simple and easy enough for novice users with robust enough data to satisfy researchers.
