Whose meaning in a generic way could be as the growth and management in the building and its environment respecting humanity and the environment that surrounds us, the environment. Given this basic approach, a totally free introductory course to sustainable construction is formalized from the Miriadax portal, corresponding to the University of Cantabria.

Introduction to Sustainable construction It is a short-term online course, given in English and Spanish, which is aimed at pupils from all over the planet interested in knowing first-hand the essential elements of Sustainable Construction.
The main objective of this course is to make known in a clear and direct way the main trends that are driving the restoration of the construction field in Europe, forcing a change of mentality towards the sustainability. For this, the teaching team of the University of Cantabria has the participation of cooperating professors from multiple European universities, which provides students with the key points of sustainable construction in different countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany or fine Denmark.
The duration of the course is 5 weeks (20 hours of study estimated) and the start date is from April 13, 2015.As recommended prior knowledge, only basic training related to construction engineering and a minimum level of English of B1 are indicated, with a B2 being preferable to ensure the correct use of the course.

Module 2. Research and Innovation in Construction
Module 3. Sustainable building materials.
Module 4. Energy Efficiency and Environmental Certificates in Construction.
