Extreme architecture projects on cliffs
Two architectural projects They are revolutionizing the tranquility of the majestic cliffs that we can find along the most spectacular coasts.
From the office of Modscape (Specialists in modular homes and conceptual design) and given the theoretical response to one of their clients, they got down to work to create one of the most risky architectural projects of this year. The extreme architecture design in its execution located in some parcels of the coastal lands of Australia.
A project inspired by the "barnacles" that cling to the rocks of the roughest coasts. A modular house concept hanging on a cliff wall that forms as an extension of the same land, creating an absolute connection with the ocean. Given the impossibility of using a conventional construction, it was decided to use stacked modules that represent different spaces that at the same time would be "anchored" to the walls by means of a previously placed steel structure.

Access to the living place It is through a garage located on the upper floor - at ground level - where an elevator would connect with the different modules-spaces that a conventional home can have with an envelope designed as a gazebo.

The next project, winner of the prestigious award Next Landmark 2014 from the portal Floornature `presents a rather surreal proposition in the eyes of the modern viewer. A hypothetical settlement or city built on the rock, on a cliff, which includes a whole series of services, such as entertainment, health, parks, etc.
A vertical habitat which is represented as a project adaptable to any place according to its characteristics, an alternative to the skyscraper model that was so abused in the 20th century. An extreme architecture and construction that seeks the symbiosis between nature and the element at the same time that it finds the refuge and protection that the rocks theoretically offer.
Project architects comment… . “Over the years we have been developing unsustainable models of buildings that year after year have occupied more territory to satisfy the need to grow. The typical skyscraper offered the opportunity to have a compact surface on the ground in order to have a freer horizontal space, but in the end, if we have built a large number of skyscrapers - as we can see in many cities - we return to those unsustainable models where the building prevails over the public space "
The The idea of cliff dwellings is to reduce environmental impact by taking energy directly from the ground. in which buildings are built, take advantage of the land and its conditions to produce renewable energy.
