In Spain work 22 thermal power stations of coal that provide 23% of the country's total electricity generation and are responsible for 64% of the sector's CO2 emissions.   5. Compostilla Thermal Power Plant (León) -Average emissions: 5,974,704 tons of CO2-Installed power: 1,312 MW and year of construction: 1961
