
Well-designed packaging
In a fundamental part of marketing we find the packaging (English term) that we could define as the sublime art of designing that box, packaging or protection that wraps the product With the main intention of surprising us, seducing us and attracting our attention so that it falls into the shopping cart.
We are in a world saturated with similar objects where highlighting a product over others brings palpable economic benefits. The best packaging sells, and a lot, and that should be known to the last employee of the company by not saying that you will remember and reinforce the brand, among other benefits.
If we enter the lighting sector and specifically, in the sale of light bulbs, we only have to observe the packaging examples that fall on the cardboard boxes that nest the bulbs. Very similar!
We quickly find boring descriptions, with similar colors or simply, they are all the same. The absence of detail, of the good taste of the packing From a design perspective, from that captivating emotional design it's pretty obvious.
But of course, this perception will begin to change thanks to the designer Angelina Pischikova who gives us a different, fresh perspective, with a lot of imagination and good design in abundance.
A Russian manufacturer CrazyService specialized in lighting commissioned the designer to give a 180º turn to the traditional packaging they were using in the line of products dedicated to energy saving light bulbs for sale in supermarkets. Surprise us!
The answer could not be more pleasant. A original packaging and totally creative that perfectly matches the various shapes of the bulbs with the silhouettes of the bodies of different insects in an early 20th century graphics and color. The artist gives a nod to the inspiration of Thomas Edison and his studies to try replicate the light of fireflies.
It must be remembered that not only improve packaging or the good labeling It constitutes the base of the packaging of a product, other factors that are improved such as; comfort, protection, durability aspects, toughness or packaging design, communication and a decisive aspect in the trajectory of any brand, the improvement of its image by enhancing branding and differentiating ourselves from competitors. Create a good packaging and packaging is creating business opportunities that, in many cases, even provides free publicity.
