How to place bricks automatically
The bricklayer trade will soon be bankrupt if a new "little machine" is introduced to the market that responds to the traditional and main job of the bricklayer, the brick laying, with an error of 0.5 millimeters, according to its creators. We have spent thousands and thousands of years creating buildings based on lay bricks And, although technology has changed a lot in the way a building is designed and executed, some parts of the work itself are still being executed as before. (We can see the clay brick article in modern architecture)
The cover video is from the company Fastbrick Robotics, but we are facing a new very succulent technological market where cutting-edge technology companies are innovating in an effort to reduce construction costs. Another example is the Construction Robotic company, where in the following video we can see how the technique is advancing strongly …
In the Fastbrick Robotics story, the intention of an Australian engineer is to change the way how to lay bricks, not the technique, but the hand that executes it. That is to say, literally change the expert bricklayer for a kind of machine - truck that has an arm that perfectly executes the cut, if necessary in the execution, later injects a grip adhesive and the brick laying in record time.

The robot is capable of placing about 1,000 blocks per hour and does not need to rest too much or complain to carry out its tasks. They say it can be four times faster than humans.

The idea has been around the Australian company Fastbrick Robotics for a long time, specifically about ten years, but it is now that perfection has reached its maximum expression with the Adriano X project. A robot mounted on a truck with a retractable arm of about 30 meters that can do many things bricklayers do, but faster and for longer periods of time.
The robot boasts of working with an error rate of less than 0.5 millimeters thanks to the use of laser technology. You need a series of plans and a complex 3D model of the building to be executed or of the simple wall designed with design programs, in which there should be no doubts with the bricks to be used to generate the construction structure.
According to its creators, not only can it be dedicated to executing brick walls, other practical applications - as an example - can be found in the creation of any type of walls without the need for it to be specifically with the brick, or in projects of filling in height.
“The development in the demand for residences has brought with it a high occupation of qualified labor and a need for it to have a vast experience in the trade. This leaves us as a challenge to improve the existing workforce and the training of new generations and instruments, with the goal of effectively achieving the benefits that industrial masonry offers us as a procedure and as a solid housing solution. The aforementioned premises have led us to develop an alternative route, not to replace the bricklayer, but because of the needs of a market that needs speed in construction »
In reality, the field of construction technology is increasing considerably with new machines for construction or construction that are becoming more efficient and with characteristics that really surprise. Other example of innovation It is called the ERO robot that will be dedicated to demolishing buildings in a peculiar way, literally swallowing concrete and turning it into dust.
In the following video we can imagine what this robot will do when it appears in a building … Crazy!
It is evident that everything that glitters is not gold, and that the expert's hand builder It will always be difficult to replace it, but surely in the not too distant future in practically all major works we will find more than one truck with a robot behind it, it will be for lay bricks like crazy or any other incident.
