Balcony windows
When we talk about the exterior carpentry of a building, the first thing that comes to mind is a good sturdy window, made of good materials, variable and flat in size. But, to very few, it will come to our minds that there is an alternative to the traditional window and that, in addition, it has a double function, they are the balcony windows!

What is a balcony window?
A balcony window is an innovative automated system that has a complex mechanism that can be transformed into a balcony. The main function is to replace or emulate the traditional balcony without losing the characteristics and functionalities of the window itself.

In reality, and, although it may not seem like it, technical advances have mainly provided two types of balcony windows; both for sloping roofs and vertical facades:

And these windows … What benefits do they bring? From a light and ventilation perspective, it is practically the same as the traditional window, but, if we talk about being able to enjoy better views, a feeling of spaciousness and gain a little space in the house, here its advantages are palpable.

How are balcony windows installed?

We have reviewed different catalogs and asked to see what it would cost us to buy a balcony window. Although the qualities influence a lot, the base price (Roof window) starts at a little more than 2,100 Euros (without VAT or installation). With everything included, the estimate is a little more than 5,000 Euros, if we talk about new construction.

Regarding the balcony windows for facadeWe have not been able to get a price, but it is certainly higher given that the installed system incorporates a more complex mechanism and the floor that forms its own balcony.
This type of carpentry is new options that allow new perspectives in our architecture projects and that, from our understanding, can be a viable option in certain situations.
