The laser engraver for wood, plastic and much more

Now is the perfect time for designers, engineers, craftsmen, and anyone looking to build a small workshop at home. Technology is more accessible and cheaper than ever and, today, have a good laser engraver in the studio it is no longer a challenge.

A few years ago, the machines of laser engraving (I know uses a laser beam to modify the surface of an object), cutting and marking for wood, metal or whatever material we could think of, they were expensive, required specialized knowledge and took up a lot of space. The change has been radical in a short time!

The laser technology More recent has produced powerful recorder machines that are small enough to be portable, but powerful enough to be used by both consumers and industry, and today, we want to present a project that is worthwhile, it is the recorder and laser cutter Laserpecker.

LaserPecker Pro is the first laser engraving machine with a professional character and that it is really portable, which is already a record looking at all the other cutting and marking machines that we can find on the market.

Although currently the manufacturer already markets a similar and portable product, the new Pro version that they are launching from a crowdfunding in kickstarter directly is the bomb, with very versatile options and a price that is directly without competition if we compare it with what is on the market.

Its laser module is no bigger than a coffee mug, and the holder literally folds up for storage directly on the shelf or in a drawer. It is possibly the laser cutter Professional grade easier to use, more compact and affordable for marking words, images, patterns or designs on virtually any type of material (Remember the letterpress article for architects)

The ability to etch virtually any surface is now accessible to anyone without the need for expensive equipment or specialized training.

The manufacturer's goal has been to simplify the laser cutting / engraving process in three easy steps:

  • You add the artwork, image, etc., to the LaserPecker mobile app, adjusting it to achieve the desired result.
  • You plug the laser module into its holder and add the product / material you want to engrave or cut.
  • You press print! The printer immediately starts working to engrave or cut the pattern that has been designed.

For greater versatility of the laser engraver, they can be powered by a wall outlet, a battery pack or a USB Type-C cable. The included application for smartphones has simple commands that allow the user to select an image or other design from their phone and start recording with just a few clicks (Remember the article of the perfect mobile for architects and engineers with thermal cameras, lasers and much more)

The laser cutter adds an autofocus bracket to quickly and safely support the recorder anywhere. Additionally, the media is equipped with an automatic cooling fan to cool materials while printing, saving time and effort.

405nm blue-violet laser unit is very fast at its jobs capable of creating images and designs on a variety of materials, from paper to fabric, leather, wood, plastic and even food. With a simple process where users can control the entire route with their mobile.

Note: Hard materials such as metal and stone cannot be engraved (They must first have a coat of paint according to comments). Ceramic and glass materials must be added with a thermal transfer layer on the surface to be recorded (See company videos where they mark different objects, such as a Coca-Cola can from HERE)

To record on items that don't necessarily fit under the stand, the module even includes a tripod, allowing you to record on larger canvases like cabinets or doors, for example.

The laser machine It is intended for home users and comes with a set of safety glasses, an orange protective shield that cuts off blue light, and even internal safety measures such as protection against overheating and disconnection in case of motion detection.

Like 3D printers, not everyone needs one and not all design firms will use it, but it is certainly a good opportunity to acquire a laser engraver at a consistent price and of good quality.

We do not sell the product, but the manufacturer is Laser Pecker and they have their own website that you can see more information from HERE to buy a laser engraver (Note: We have also seen it for sale on Amazon (Europe)

And if you like original things, there is a perfect robot for designers and architects that literally climbs the walls drawing.
