The joy in the architectural perspective of the buildings

Many cities are visually boring. Sometimes because the asphalt floods everything, sometimes because there is not the wonderful green color of the parks and others because when you look up you see a architectural perspective of totally similar buildings where the color hues are curiously similar too.

Either due to the requirements of the local regulations or due to an inability of the designer's imagination, we are faced with seeing monotonous, boring cities, of which we have already talked about their effects here.

There is a German architecture student photographer who has a particular vision of cities, we are talking about Paul Eis. Literally sick of photographing white and gray buildings with unattractive views, he decided to wash his face off the urban landscapes and buildings he photographed.

A new life! more color, more joy, so that we could understand that the psychology of color applied properly to buildings not only favors the architectural perspectives of buildings or the spirit of the people who inhabit a neighborhood, but also brings elegance, beauty and life to the visual aspect of the building.

With a digital camera in hand, the young photographer is touring Germany giving color brushstrokes to all the buildings that need "a new face lift" with digital techniques … "Architecture should not only be understood as a useful element, but also as a work of art that beautifies the space."

Eis, uses the Instagram account the architecture photographer, to present his architectural images, which have been stripped of their context, and renewed on a new color palette with a vibrant blue background that helps to highlight the interesting and authentic qualities of the building with a plane and different panorama.

His beginnings were in the city of Berlin, starting with some backyards and subway environments, then he became interested in the architectural visual from the typical social housing of the city, buildings with very strong rectangular shapes and pure geometry, to the need to photograph the most emblematic buildings to provide them with a different perspective, from the architecture of Walter Gropius (Bauhaus) through the famous architect Frank Gehry, makes up his photographic visual catalog on Instagram.

The project could be seen as a way to show how most of the architecture of Berlin and Hamburg can be understood as a work of art from a different architectural perspective.

It is not intended to be a critique of modern architecture, but rather a conscientious review of the visual aspect, where in Germany a lot of importance is given to practicality and little relevance to exterior aesthetics.
