Throughout history, Scandinavian design has always been identified by trying to create a beauty accessible to all and that improves our living conditions.

He was responsible for the incorporation of a more natural and human language, and this is where the famous "organic design" appeared, being inspired by the nature that surrounds those spectacular regions that continue to dazzle us with its impressive visual force.

Among its many architectural icons, it has just opened the singular Arctic Bath hotel. A floating construction that resembles a bird's nest, evidencing that the organic design is more alive than ever.

The new hotel It is designed by the architects Bertil Harström and Johan Kauppi. Located on the banks of the Lule River in northern Swedish Lapland, is becoming one of the most emblematic tourist attractions in the region.

Recall that Lapland is a historical province in the extreme north of Sweden, it is called "The last wilderness of northern Europe". Where we find landscapes with impressive contrasts, pure nature and different experiences depending on the season in which you visit.

The construction is developed with the highest environmental standards (See LEED certification and BREEAM certification) and using local materials with the intention of having a minimum of environmental impact.

The surrounding nature has been incorporated into the cabins and suites. Natural and sustainable materials with a rich history such as wood, stone, leather or textiles that harmonize with Scandinavian design. It is your perfect hideaway under the starry skies!

The hotel Arctic bath It is made up of a series of floating cabins in which there is a main building and others located on solid ground that make up the large complex.

The floating rooms located on the water are double. Independent cabins that have a living space of 24 square meters and are connected to the coast by a floating walkway.

Are floating cabins in summer and frozen in winter in the river Lule. Includes: a double bed, a bathroom with shower, air conditioning, a minibar, Wi-Fi, under-floor heating and a pellet stove. These small buildings have a large porch where users can meditate, sunbathe or simply enjoy the stunning nature that surrounds them.

Among the floating rooms there is a Larger round-shaped building "el nido" where the spa and the restoration area are located with a central pool so that hotel users can take a refreshing bath.

The cabins located on land they are larger and are elevated above ground level. Designed for 5 people and they are approximately 62 square meters. They also have all the amenities required in a modern hotel.

Finally, the star of the hotel, a suite with a double accessible floor with a spiral staircase, and, of course, as we see in the images, Scandinavian decoration is still very present in its interior design.
