ISMET, the acronym for Higher Institute of Traditional Medicines, is a center founded in 1992 in Barcelona. The purpose from day one is to be a benchmark in the training in natural therapies so that the students of the center can become professional experts, as demonstrated by the students who have been there in the more than 25 years that they have been teaching courses.
Some areas in which courses are taught are:
- Naturopathy and Homeopathy.
- Chinese traditional medicine.
- Acupuncture.

Over the years it has been expanding the offer of courses and the center itself, for example, with the creation of the therapy center, a center with the purpose of practicing all those methods that are learned during the courses. Furthermore ISMET is a collaborating university center like the University of Vic and UCAM.
